You ever heard a Bach fugue? Trust me, it moves. First you move on the first manual (keyboard). Than on the second one at the same time. Then on the pedals at the same time really really fast. It moves. Yeah, I can imagine trying to do that. It must be hard, I agree, but I still think playing piano at the highest level (which I haven't come near yet) is the hardest. On the organ, you have to get used to coordinating your hands and feet, and then you're fine. On the piano, you have to go so much more into detail...there are pieces on the piano that are almost completely IMPOSSIBLE to play, and that's just for the technical aspect...

There are a lot of hard organ peices. Bach (I'm useing Bach because he should have been the only one allowed to write for organ) peices, really, really fast hands, and the same speed feet. And six flats...

Hey, I'm doing some Bach Preludes and Fugues as well (thankfully I don't have to work my feet like you do on the organ ;D)

That must get complicated, when you have your arms and fingers, and feet going at the same time. for me though, I cant stand more than 4 sharps, so flats are better, for me but SIX of them? ugh.

Argh! I hate flats!!! SHARPS, I can handle....but I despise flats. I'm a classical guitarist, so sharps are much easier.

really? I hate sharps. I can read easier in flats, the reason being because I learned how to do 3 and 4 flats before 3 and 4 sharps, so I have more expirience with flats. Sharps are good for guitarists, though.

Do you play anything other than piano, Gyn? I remember you can sing harmony, but I was just wondering....

So I guess my music taste is a bit out-of-the-ordinary.... I'm definately a rocker at heart. I LOVE Classic Rock, from Cream to Van Halen to Metallica, and I love the "golden oldies" like "Do You Believe in Magic", etc. But then, if I'm in a differnet mood, I might listen to Classical, or to Josh Groban. Or a few funky or alternative bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers or System of a Down. I don't like Christian rock that much because most of the bands are weak instrumentally, but I have heard some good Switchfoot songs, and "Jesus Freaks" is a great song. And I DO own a Relient K CD. I guess any music you can "feel" is great.
