What do you think about the Harry Potter books/movies? I don't like them one bit. I think its not a good thing that witchcraft is made so widespread.

I agree with you Geberia, it very much says in the Bible that witchcraft is horrible. The only reason I like LOTR and the Chronicles of Narnia so much is cause it clearly protrays stories from the Bible.

Harry Potter books and movies are NOT good! They have witchcraft in them. Witchcraft IS evil. It says in 2 Chronicles 33:6, "Also he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much EVIL in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger." And in 1 Thessalonians 5:22, the Bible tells us to, "Avoid every kind of evil." That is why Harry Potter is BAD, and why we should avoid it.

SATAN THE BLOOD OF JESUS IS AGAINST YOU! Harry Potter is evil! It's not like in disney movies where good overcomes evil but sadly in Harry Potter it's opposite! Witchcraft is evil. NO if ands or buts!

Welp, I used to be a big fan of Harry Potter....KEEP YOUR SHIRTS ON!
NOT anymore.....
At first, I was like, "it's just a book...." but, there have been many life-changing events that have happened to me since....for example, I started chatting w/ Catoepia and Misty every day, and they (especially Catoepia) have pretty much saved me again. In other words, I'm a born again born again. ;D I realize now that Harry Potter is NO good......if anything, it's just freaky.
I've read the first five, (don't even give a wipstich about the sixth one anymore) and they're really interesting stories.....but that's their ploy. Rowling uses her awesome storywriting ability for ill, and is putting the evil of witchcraft into the kids of this generation (who already have too many problems.)

The book is written from a loveiing author! She doesn't want it to represent evil! she is making the harry potter series because it is a wholesome book! nothing evil is sopposed to come from the book! and i know about Voldemort but it isn't sopposed to make people turn evil!

I heard this from a lady who appeared on the John Hagee Show one day: One day, over in England, JK Rowling was having a phone conference on a talk show. And guess who called in? A self-proclaimed witch. Not a broom stick and pointed hat witch like we all visualize, but a downright evil person that practiced witchcraft! And you know what she asked Rowling? "Are you a witch yourself?" The Harry Potter books were that bad that they had even a bonafide witch convinced that the creator of them was into witchcraft. Why would you want to read something like that?!
Another thing: When asked about their movies, the producer (I believe it was Warner Brothers) said: [The Harry Potter Movies] are "an accurate representation of witchcraft."
The bottom line: Harry Potter, the books, the movies, they're all straight from the pit of you know where. They should all be burned and are a disease to society.
The author may be in it for the money, but her inspiration is from purely evil sources.
Some of you Harry Potter lovers would say that the book is "fantasy," in your sympathetic terms. I'd say that that's a load of bull. The events depicted in Harry Potter are fictional representations of very real and very evil things. Period.
Sorry if I come across as mad, but this is just an "invigorating" subject for me.

Well, lets face the facts. There is witchcraft out there, and it is protrayed in books, movies, etc... Why, if you were a Christian, would you want to read and see that stuff? Do you think Jesus would be saying, It's harmless?
As for saying that magic is bad and such, you're taking it the extreme! I don't mind magic (there is no such thing NEways - compared to witchcraft, which is very real and very bad.) when it does not glorify Satan. Snow White, well, I think in the original folk stories the queen just disguised herself instead of using withcraft like the Walt Disney movie says.
And another thing, if God wouldn't suffer a witch to live, do you think he would suffer books about witchcraft? Especially when his children are reading them? I think not.

I think it's just down right horrible! These books are capturing minds of innocent children, and turning them away from Jesus Christ, and leading them to witchcraft. It's rapidly stealing many souls and leading them to hell... no offence to anyone. This is just my opinion. But this is what I think, and all we can do is pray for them to see the light. There's no use making a riot about it because it will only make matters worst, and we may even loose more souls when they see that we're arguing and protesting over what is just a "book" in their eyes.
