Hey have any of you read the Enders Game series? It is a great series. I think it really tells the story of Christ and Christianity in some very wierd ways. If anyone of you have read them I would like to talk to you about them.

One of my favourite books is Timeline. (which has recently been made into a movie, but as someone who has read Lord of the Rings and seen the movies, you can tell that the movies don't always reflect the book completely) Yes, it has some cussing and stuff but it's got a great plot. Not saying that cussing isn't bad, but that book kept me up a long time just to find out what happens next!!!! If i could stay up long enough i'd read the whole thing again!

Hey, I'm reading Ender's Game (though I'm not done yet) It's kind of wierd, but cool. In fact, I'm reading the copy that Titanian loaned to me. Salaam.

I don't care for Sci-fi. There are very few sci-fi books I like. I've never heard of the Enders Game series. I'll look it up though.

I've got "Ender's Game", "Ender's Shadow", "Shadow of the Hegemon" and "Shadow Games".
The writer is very talented yes, but I don't quite see a Christ portrayed. Maybe some similarity in places, but I think it's just a major butt kicking set of books. Xenophobia stank though, just for reference.

Xenophobia? do you mean Xenocide? Well I liked it. Also make sure you read Speaker of the Dead and Children of the Mind.
By the way my earlier post where I said that I saw a resemblence to Christianity is in Children of the Mind where Jane is going "outside then inside" and talked about the webbing of life brought me several new ideas about Christianity. Make sure you read those books. There great endings to Ender's Game!

Hey Prime Minister what is Timeline about? Also who is the author I have been wanting a book to read. Salaam TD Timeline is about group of historians/archaeologists who are sent back in time to the 14th century, where they must find their professor who had been sent back by an american corporation. thats a poor explanation, but I'd highly recommend reading it. It's a very good book. The author is Michael Crichton, who wrote: Jurassic Park, Prey, Sphere... and created/directed the tv show, ER

Dune by Frank Herbert. It is called the best Sci-fi book ever. Its really cool 'cause its kinda like a sci-fi LOTR. He's created this whole world, and language, and everything. I'm about a quarter of the way through right now, and its pretty neat. Sand Worms 400 Meters long eating factories=

It's a great book, but it gets darker and sadder as you progress through the series.
