If you were to ask me my absolute favorite musicians, the three that would most readily come to mind are Alison Krauss, Johnny Cash, and Nickel Creek. My dad owns two of Nickel Creek's albums. They're certainly very talented musicians, but I can't say that I like their style. I can say I've heard them, though.

I have LOTS of fave. bands! Let's see... VAN HALEN, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eric Clapton (/Cream/Derek and the Dominoes), Pink Floyd, Guns n' Roses (November Rain!!!!), 3 Doors Down, the Beatles, U2, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, and some Led Zeppelin. There's probably more, but that's it for now.

I have a new favorite band....and it's actually secular!!!! The All-American Rejects are from Oklahoma and are AWESOME! They only have one song that could be considered questionable...but they don't cuss in any album. My FAVORITE song that they've done is "Move Along". Check 'em out.

I've heard of 'em, but haven't heard 'em (at least I don't think I have). They're punk-rock, right?

I was listening to a secular Top-40 countdown yesterday, and I heard The All-American Rejects' song "Dirty Little Secret." Sounded catchy, but I couldn't really hear the lyrics (b/c I was playing ping-pong ;D). I think it was about a girl, though.

Lol, 90% of their songs are about girls...I'm kinda disappointed, tho...one of their songs "Dance Inside" is about...well, you-know-what. I just skip over that one.

^I haven't the faintest idea.
Well, since you appear to have so little techno education, I will post some lyrics.
All we need is one more Goal. All we need is one more Goal. All we seek is one Goal, One Goal. All we need is one Goal.
One Goal could be your happiness. One Goal can make you sad. One Goal can be desperation. One Goal can become your hope. One Goal can do a lot of things. One Goal can change the world. One Goal can be your brotherhood. One Goal is the score of your Life.
One Goal, the above song, was actually the French soccer team's theme song for 2001 or something like that. Their other popular song is called I'm Blue. (http://www.lyricsdomain.com/5/eiffel_65/blue.html).
Eiffel 65 is a Italian techno group. Some of their music is in Italian, but the majority of it is like standard techno and has no lyrics, just synthesisers and beat.
And also, I'm j/w if I'm the only person who listens to the Halo sound track :-D

Lyrics tell me nothing....I wanna know what it sounds like. ;D That's what downloads are for!! And audio clips. Pretty much all techno sounds basically the same: 1) A steady beat on every count 2) Synthesizers and voice distortions, and 3) Guys singing really high. ~Nella

Never really had much experience with techno, but for some reason, it strikes me as if it would have been popular in the 80's. I don't know why, though.
