well, press means: to iron or to squeeze juice or other contents fromand impress means: to apply steady weight or force against; to mark or stamp withso, therefore, an 'impressed person' must refer to one that is being ironed, sueezed, marked, and stamped on. Thus referring to Steelsheen

I guess we have some people with morbid fascinations about being physically crushed here- pretty sadistic, if you ask me. j/k ;D

I object to being called sadistic.

But I am morbid. My sense of humor was surgically removed at birth.

Nope, didn't hurt. You see, I had spinalbiffida (sp?) and when they knocked me out to take care of that, they just took my sense of humor too!

Halloween, or Samhain (the correct name), was an ancient pagan harvest festivel, where they praised Astaroth, Goddess of Fertility. The forces of nature are at their weakest at samhaim, so magic done then will usually fail.
Let people go ahead and celebrate it, they are, in effect, carrying out an ancient ritual. Its just giving power to astaroth.

Well, Ashtaroth is a false god. Why would we as Christians want to give power to the force that is behind her?

Well, Ashtaroth is a false god dess. Learn to spell, Astaroth. Why would we as Christians want to give power to the force that is behind her? Simply by celebrating halloween, you are giving power

Hey mikor, good point out, personally i prefer easter though. nothing beats the 2200 year old custom of celebrating the death of Attis(born to a virgin) and his resurrection three days later. Those pagans sure had whacky holidays.
anyway halloween is great, as a kid i loved it and seeing some of the more techy costumes today almost makes candy shopping worthwhile.

Late (around the 25th) december is nice, gotta love the winter solstice, lol Jeremiah 10:2 KJV Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3* For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4* They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. kind of reminds me of something...
