Hello Everyone! I'm a new member to your boards. I hope I have a good time here.  I realize that most of you are probably Protestant, while I am Catholic. I hope I can clear up any misconceptions you have about my faith, and I any about yours. |

That brings up an interesting question.
What is the difference between Catholics and Protestants. My friend is a Catholic and I know they believe in the Pergatory (sp?), but what else is different?

they pray to mary and the saints.They have a pope. ect.

Also, Titanian, most of them have, in their Bibles, the Old Testament Apocrypha which is a group of books that were not put in by the old church because of their "lack of Holiness."

Welcome, TheCatholic! What should we call you as in shorthand? TheCatholic or just Catholic or something else that my weird imagination hasn't thought of yet...?
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay and I too look forward to your answers to the many questions that we have regarding Catholicism. ;D

Don't Catholics believe in good works getting you to heaven? Yeah, that is good, GDL...maybe if it isn't a girl we could call it TC for short....I mean, we already have a TD and a TI, so this'll just be another "T"  |
