Also, if a violent criminal WANTS a weapon, chances are they will get one. It's like this retarded camp I go to- they make me fork over my Ibuprofen which I need for my arthritis because we can't have drugs of any kind. Not even pepto bismol for the horrid food- anyway! My point to them is... if I was not a good kid, if I was REALLY doing drugs, (A) I would not be here and (B) I sooo would not hand them over, or (C) leave them where you could find them!
Sorry about the little rant, I just really hate that camp......

Exactly, so if a violent criminal can get a weapon, shouldn't citizens be allowed to have weapons to DEFEND themselves? Did yall hear about the pistol-packing granny in TX? Well, someone came into her house in the middle of the night and was robbing her. She got out of bed and spooked him into the closet. Later, while she was calling 911, he lunged out of the closet at her. She whipped out her gun and shot the guy twice in the buttocks. She wouldn't be alive today were it not for that gun.
BTW, the right to bear arms was put in the Constitution to perserve the right of Americans to have guns to protect the homeland if it was invaded. However, that's not what it has become, so the debate has shifted.

Well...the 2nd amendment is still necessary in its origional form. Think of China. It;s economic advancement is blinding fast and their navy will be better than ours by the end of the decade. When we go to war with them, they will invade. They will take much of the western US. I imagine SF will fall quickly because of their recent gun bans. However once they hit Texas...God help them

Just head north of the red river and those short asians will meet the fury of Oklahoma....yeeeeeeeeha. whatever, everybody should come to Missouri. why you might ask. We have better sports teams than Ok., we have the best of big cities (Kansas City and St.Louis) and the best of small towns (Adrian, where I live!), we have friendly people, we have beautiful landscape, Lake of the Ozarks (I went there last summer, I went canoeing, so beautiful!), Ozark Mountains, seeing the sunset over a field of grain is pretty too. Also, MO. is better than Ok because only people who live in log cabins, don't have a TV, computer, or dare I say it... a telphone live in Ok! jk

Choco, if I wasn't such an Oklahoman, I'd agree with you. Don't insult me too much because I love your state and want to grow up and move to Springfield. TULSA, however, is the most awesome city! It's not too big, but big enough to have some minor league teams, it's been called "America's Most Beautiful City", and has one of the top ten highest standards of living in the whole nation...and it's conservative! Don't throw that "we have better sports" stuff at me...in Oklahoma, we don't care shucks about pro sports (most of us, anyways)...college is where it's at. It's REAL athletes playing a REAL sport, not druggies paying off refs to win. You'd better not be one of those people who think we all live in tepees, Choco....or I'll pull my tomohawk on you! Falk, you'd BETTER NOT live in Texas..... GWB is the only good thing that ever came out of Texas (besides possibly you ). What can I say? The Red River rivalry coarses through my veins...

I do live in Texas ;D. I don't see why you detest Texas so much ;D. There are plenty of lovely conservative people here. Besides, Fort Worth (near me) has the largest percentage (per capita) of pianists in America. Who can beat that?

Yeah, we probably would, but we've got OU, so we don't NEED a pro football team (don't say a WORD, Falklands...one year you guys beat OU and you think it's soo cool...)
Texas thinks it's so all fired awesome and that Oklahoma is a piece of trash (I read it in a book by a bunch of Texans.)

Can I say something then? TEXAS CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY! Now, there's nothing wrong with it being Christian, BUT HOW ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO BEAT OU! Yea, Tulsa isn't bad, but then I haven't lived anywhere else, so I guess I wouldn't know. So, uh, who do we root for in the Orange Bowl? I don't really like USC, and I don't really like Texas. I'm really looking for whatever bowl Notre Dame's in (its a mortal sin if your catholic to not be a Notre Dame fan ).

First of all, nobody go to ORU, if you want a GREAT Christian University CBC is the way to go. Plus if you go you CBC, you could visit me!!!! I don't live in Springfield (where CBC is) but pretty close. If you guys remember I went to a Fine Arts Festival in Denver, well regional Fine Arts was in Springfield so I got to see CBC, it's an AMAZING place to be.
TD, I wasn't talking about pro sports, Missouri has better college teams.

Sooner born, sooner bread, when I die i'm sooner dead...get it right, gyn. And Choco, how darest you insult ORU...my dad works there....as does Titanian's dad. Watch thy mouth, my sugary friend. I'm going next year, in fact....and nothing beats ORU. They have the best sports in Tulsa, an amazing Christian atmosphere, a semi-ok president, and they have professors who teach because they want to be there (definitely not because they get paid anything.) As for your college teams...I hate UMKC...absolutely despise and detest the school. Mizzou stinks, St. Louis stinks...I seem to be missing your great teams... The only good one I know of is MO state.

Ohio's pretty good. Cold weather (which I kind of like), great sports, and we have conceal-carry laws for those of you that are into the 2nd Amendment. Good defense against China, in other words. ;D

Um, I regurlarly stop by TCU and I can tell you it's NOT Christian at all. It doesn't even try to pretend that it is Christian. It's just the name.

Hmm, well when the Chinese invade I'll go over their house! LOL
I got a pamphlet from ORU but I think its gonna be too far from home as well as the atmosphere looks a little too....different for what I'm accustomed to.

Hm, what do you mean by that? I can answer any questions you have, but I do understand what you mean by being too far away from home. Catoepia, Titanian, and I are all going to go to ORU. I'm starting concurrent enrollment next year, and Catoepia comes down the next.
Wow, what does this have to do with gun control?....
