What are your thoughts on Freemasonry?

In my humble opinion, Freemasonry is downright occultic. The organization, which is ostensibly a society of "do-good" Christian men, has occultic and even satanic undertones in it that are hushed by the mainstream media and by Masons themselves.
Many Masonic symbols are representative of Satanic objects. For example, one of the offspring groups of "the Craft," the Order of the Eastern Star, has, as one of its primary symbols, an inverted pentagram! For those who are in the dark as to what an inverted pentagram is, it is generally the catch-call indicator of Satanism and Witchcraft. This symbol is publicly shown to be a symbol of the Order of the Eastern Star, a women's Masonic organization.
Masons are also prohibited from witnessing Jesus to other Masons at meetings. The Masons believe in a "God" (really referred to as "The Great Architect of the Universe") that is supposedly all-inclusive. They believe that all religions lead to God, and this is just plain wrong and imprecise according toi Christian standards.
I could say more, but I'd like to hear what you guys have to say.

Yes, I definatly think Masonery is occultic. That was the only part in the movie "National Treasure" that I didn't like.

i think u may be right on the occultic part, but just like in "National Treasure" they were a big part in the start of our nation. We definitely wouldn't be anywhere economically w/out them

But some parts of that movie were fake.....I mean, I don't think George Washington was a Mason, and if he was, it was probably because it was a good group back then. But I perhaps it's changed since Colonial times. I don't really think so though.

George Washington was a nominal Mason if he could have been considered one at all. He was a member of the "Craft" in the decades preceding his Revolutionary heroism, but after that he said that he only was in a Masonic Lodge "once or twice."
Titanian, I am not sure what economic help you are referring to, if you could please clear that up. Also, you say that you are "not sure" on the religious side of Masonry. I have just attmepted to explain how Masonry is deeply embedded with religion, and at that, a religion that totally defies God.
Quoting myself:
Masonry is completely and utterly filled with some obscure and some not so obscure example of occultic material! As I said before, an offshoot organization of Masonry for women, the Order of the Eastern Star, has an inverted pentagram as one of their primary symbols. An inverted pentagram is a genuinely satanic sign.
Even if Masons, as you say, have "helped" America in her economic foundations, that is no reason to excuse them from their Order's sins as an occultic group masquerading under the banner of "doing good."

Moreover, read some of these quotes from Albert Pike, famous Mason turned Lucifer-worshiper, and author of the book Morals and Dogma, one of the authoritative writings on Freemasonry:
This is coming from one of the most influential Masons of all time. If a man this esteemed in Masonry can say these things (a man who knows far more about Masonry than any newly-initiated Mason who trumpets the good deeds of his organization), then what does that say about Freemasonry itself?

sry i didn't mean to say u were wrong Armany, I just usually like to research things a lot before i claim one way or the other, and it seems to me that ur exactly right. cults are usually pretty strange since multiple religions come together to make one religion, but this one definitely goes on the top of the list of strangest religions ever.
and Geberia, ur right that a lot of National Treasure was completely fake, but most of the actual historical facts are very true. George Washington was part of Masonry, because once again, multiple religions were coming together to combine in freedom. One reason we tend to look away from any of our Founders from doing bad stuff is cause they are our nations creators obviously, but right now i'm taking an AP US History class and it's amazing how "not so great" some of these Founders were......Benjamin Franklin for instance was a HUGE womanizer and he also was very big on "religious superstitions"
When i stated that Masonry helped America in its economy is essentially that they were a "brotherhood" that held some of the Founders, but mainly of rovolutionists who were a big help in submitting propaganda about the British. Honostly I'm sure that many of the things they did to revolt was most definitely illegal, but at the time the Founders were doing illegal things too weren't they?

Yes, many of our Founders were Freemasons. Ben Franklin, well known to be somewhat of a morally-loose man, from what I've heard, was a Mason, as was Thomas Jefferson, also a known Mason and a proponent of the ghastly French Revolution.
It is sad to see that our heritage is laced with these stains. I sincerely hope that the seeds these men have planted (as have others, like practically all of our presidents) do not tear down America.
