What is your opinion of cloning? My opinion is that, 1) I think it is bad becuase we, as humans, are made in the likeness of God, and copying us is like trying to copy God's image. Plus I don't think clones are real human beings. No 2) I don't like it becuase I don't know how our world would handle clones. i mean, what do you do with them?

I think that it would be very very wrong! FOr one thing we could only create the physical boddywhich when you die is dead forever. We can't ever make a clone of the human soul. To answer your question about what we would do with them. We would probably conduct in-humane expieriments on them.

Personally, I think that cloning a whole human being would be very wrong, because our whole society would treat them worse than slaves. I mean to people they would basically be robots. Also, I think that eventually the medical society would eventually use them for spare parts if you know what i mean.
I am, though, in favor of using our cloning technology to discover cures for diseases such as Cancer. I believe also that we can do this without endagering human lives by using adult stem cells instead of embryionic stem cells.

Titinian: Supposedly there is more progress being made in adult stem cell reaserch than in embyronic. Gives non-religiou types another reason to say NO to embryonic reasearchm, eh?
GDL: I think that clones would have souls. Certainly, humans can't create a soul, but I'm sure that God would put a soul in that body, because he loves all life, regardless of how it was made... eh?

I've often wondered that about clones being able to have souls.
On one hand, does the Soul come into the body at the time of creation by God? OR Is it incrypted into the DNA used to make the clone?

One's soul is not in one's DNA... otherwise it'd be a sin to clip your townails. God mostly likely would 'soulify' the clone at its creation, like any other human embryo.

I see why you may think this, but remember this would not be his creation either...Now would it?

So? Its still a human. Are you going to tell me now that kids that were born via in-vitro fertilization don't have souls?
Besides, technically humans create other humans by reproducing 'the natural way'. Think about it... God doesn't just say: "'poof!' you're pregnant!", humans have to do somthing first. So, technically, all humans were made by other humans.
Whether or not the child was created in the 'normal' way or not, I'm sure that God has the sense and mercy to give a being as sentient as a human a soul-every person.

yes humans haft to have intercourse before you can have a baby we all know that. But how do you think that works? Do you think that a woman could get preagnent without God making it possible? NO! And I didn't say sperm bank I said making a baby out ofmuscle tissue then putting it into the mothers womb. That's just making a peice of skin into or tissue cell into a another one (unnaturally) and then becoming a human if that's not ungodly I don't know what is.

That brings up another question as to when the soul actually enters a person. I mean is it when the child is born, or is it when you make the choice of either accepting or denying Christ.

a cloned person may have a soul. i really honestly cant say but adam was "created" by god and wasnt from a pregrant mother's womb so i assume a cloned person would have a soul although i dont think any cloned people would be created in our liftetimes.

Titanian: At the moment the egg cell becomes a zygote, I think. All people have souls. If people who don't accept Christ don't have souls... how can they go to hell?
GDL: God is merciful. Regardless of how the human came to be, God loves it, and 'soulifies' it. Although, I agree that cloning is not good, and the adults who did the cloning should be ashamed...
BTW... I think I heard somthing about Korean scientists cloning a human embryo a while ago. I don't know if that's true or not, though.

I think we should clone cows cause i think i heard that a cloned cow is better than a real one i think. BUt if we do clone animals than it would be one step towards less starvation in the world!

I milked one of those fake rubber ones in the dairy farm exhibit at the zoo. I doubt that counts though. No I have never milked a real one.
