So we should love jesus more than our parents?!?

"But to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man"?? We shouldnt wash?

Well, I think I can be of some help in answering your questions. You made some very good points, and I think the answers lie within the fact that you are seeing illustrations Jesus uses as literal. Anyways,

Deuteronomy 12:27: Yes, they did. People offered sacrifices to God in the Old Testament. Once Jesus died on the cross, though, and shed his PERFECT blood, then there was no more need for sacrificing imperfect animals. Jesus was the sacrifice for our sins, that's why he is called the "Lamb of God." ( you probably knew that though :-)

Matthew 10:37: In short, YES. Jesus is perfect, our parents are not. Jesus saved us and is taking us to heaven, our parents are not. This verse is in no wise advocating for rebellion amongst children; rather, Jesus is stressing that he must be our first priority. He's not saying not to love our parents or children. " Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God." It wouldn't make sense for the being that created love to tell us NOT to love that which is right to love. One of the ten commandments is also," Honour thy father and thy mother..."

Matthew 15:1-20: Jesus is speaking not of physical defilement, but of spiritual. The Pharisees were religious Jews who were stuck on the laws. They were offended when Jesus would sit with sinners and associate himself with people of low stature. Jesus is simply saying,"Hey, is it better to not wash your hands and have a pure heart then to wash your hands and have a filthy one?" Again, why would Jesus, who is God, tell us to be unhygenical? ( not sure I said that right LOL) Think about it - was anyone ever a murderer, rapist, theif, you name it, because he didn't wash his hands? No, he was that way because the uncleanliness of his heart ( all those wicked thoughts) ruined him. That's the point Jesus is trying to make.

Luke 19:27: This is part of a parable Jesus is telling, not something that he wants us to do. While he will judge everyone according to their sins someday, he is using this verse to show the penalty for those who reject the King's rule. God loves everyone, but he is also a holy God. He cannot allow sin into heaven, and because we've all sinned, he therefore cannot allow any of us in. Accepting Jesus takes care of that, but for those who reject God's offer of eternal life there is d**nation forever in hell. Perhaps this is what this verse is alluding to; however, we know that God is not telling us to go kill unbelievers!

Matthew 5:29-30: Again, this is an illustration. Jesus is saying that it's better not to sin, and have little, then to sin and have much ( because those who sin will lose all their members someday, while those who go to heaven will get a new body.). He's saying that, if there's a problem in your life, get rid of it! Say your problem is doing drugs. God says its better for you to give them up and go to heaven knowing that you did right, then keep doing them and go to hell for doing wrong.
