What one of God's attributes do you him best for? Is it his mercy, goodness, grace, power, etc...?
I like God becuase of his answers to prayer and his promises. That's my favorite thing about him and his word.

I like God best for his unconditional love towards the entire world. It's just simply amazing how he could basically offer up a part of Him- his very own Son- as a sacrifice of atonement for our sins. I really can't imagine how hard it must have been to be hanging on a cross, having what seems like the whole world hate you, with the weight of all of their sins upon your shoulders- and then, saying "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" before you die. No one else but Jesus could have done that.
That's unconditional love for you. Here's an excerpt from one country song that really seems to capture the essence of what Jesus meant:
Half way through the service While the choir sand a hymn He looked up above the preacher And he sat and stared at Him [Jesus on the cross]
He said "Forgive me father" When he realized That he been hadn't unloved or alone all his life His arms were stretched out as far as they'd go Nailed to the cross, for the whole world to know
I love you this much and I'm waiting on you To make up your mind, do you love me to? However long it takes I'm never giving up No matter what, I love you this much
That song, by Jimmy Wayne, really sums up what I think about God and his unconditional love for every one of us.

Wow, this is great, I was thinking about God's attributes JUST the other day!
I just can't get over the fact that He loves us...no matter what we do....just blows my mind.

Yes, I couldn't imagine life w/o God, could you?

No, I couldn't. We would certainly be lost in this world without God.

I think alot about how blessed I am to be born into a Christian family. Becuase if I wasn't, I probably wouldn't accept Christ.

Yes, that is true. I believe that is why many people choose to live sinful lives these days- they weren't raised in Christian homes.

I like satan because he is helpful and always there for you.... Oh wait, you mean the christian 'god'?
Hmm, lets see, he raped mary (did she get a say in the birth of jesus?) and he is a paedophile (how many millenia older than mary was he?), so, nope, cant think of anything good about him.

A) Satan is NOT good, he is the very essence of evil, and he is going to hell. He's not a guy you want to spend eternity with. God, on the other hand, is holy, rightgeous, omnipotent, and omnipresent. He has created a place for those who believe on his name to spend for all eternity too - heaven. B) What makes you think Mary was raped? or that it was against her will? Read the Bible in Luke 1:38," And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the LORD; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her." Mary was privileged to be a servant of the LORD and carry the Saviour of the world, Jesus Christ.
I can think of one thing that's good about God to you - he loves you!!!

holy, rightgeous, omnipotent, and omnipresent. there is a rather old quote regarding this: Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus. Since I know your going to say "free will", I will point out a few things: 1). Free will only applies to moral evils, not natural ones. 2). It is possible to have free will and be incapable or unwilling to commit evil (such as pre-fruit, adam and eve), there is no reason for a rightious God to create a harmful and unneccasary entity like evil. 3). Unless you like the idea of bear's tearing children apart (wonder what satan would have done in the same situation...), then God clearly commits acts of evil. 4). God's omniscience counters any need for free will. If he knows what i'm going to do tommorow, then i don't have any free will to decide on the matter, it would be fate.

In the Epicurus quote, you present an argument consisting of an Either/Or fallacy. Not only does this make your current argument invalid, it also puts God in a box, saying, God's objective must be to prevent evil, as if he is a superhero flinging himself in front of bullets he has no control over.
Simply put: God does not prevent evil (thereby ruling out your question of "able or willing?"). God has no need of preventing evil, because He controls it.
Now, I can't speak for my fellow Christians as I am not entirely sure of their theological convictions. I do know my own convictions: that everything that happens is according to God's plan, and nothing is outside of his holy foreordination. "Free will" outside of God's control is not Biblical. I would be willing to discuss this further, although perhaps this is not the right place.
