Here are some tips on staying safe:
1. DO NOT MENTION YOUR FULL NAME on the forum
2. Do not get any more specific about your actual location than your state and the nearest metropolis.
3. Do not mention a friend's real name
4 Do not mention your school or a group that you are in
5. Do not mention your parents' names.
6. Do not IM/Chat with those you do not personally know. If you do, use the above guidelines to keep you safe. You chat at your own risk

Recently, in Purcell, OK (I'm sure you've heard of this on the national news), a 10 year old girl was abducted by someone she met on the internet. This person took the girl back to his apartment, raped her, and beheaded her, then he was caught. He had planned to drain her body of all its blood, eat her remains, and dispose of the bones and organs. In his room were meat tenderizers, a video on cannibalism, and something to barbecue meat.
THIS PROVES HOW MUCH INTERNET SAFETY IS IMPORTANT!
