Hey everybody, keep in remembrance that tomorrow is September 11th. It's been five whole years since we've been attacked, and we're still fighting the battle it started. Say a prayer for the families that are still feeling its reprocussions, and for the leaders of America.

Watching as the towers fell, Feeling something inside die Darkness then became my world Weeping, praying for it to be a lie Left alone in the night, Never knowing if we'd see the light Longing only for some hope Helping others not to choke Caring was the way to survive, Save our way of life alive.

God bless America!!! I'm thankful that he's kept us safe from another attack these 5 years. It hardly seems like it's been that long.....

I can remember that day five years ago more pretty vividly (I was still kind of young, though). We didn't get out of school or anything b/c of the attacks, but I remember coming home and being very confused and scared that afternoon. It's amazing how the years fly by, though.

It's really weird. It seems so long ago, but just yesterday... I was 13.

I was 11, we were doing school and my dad and grandma both called. We were upstairs, so we didn't hear the phone ring. I went down to get something, saw that there were two messages, listened to them, and immediatly flew upstairs and pulled my mom down to our tv. I didn't really understand what was going on though.....just knew that we were probably going to war.

Hm... I was in Germany, so it happened at 2-ish in the afternoon my time. I was downstairs doing homework and my grandma came down and said you may wanna watch this.
Anyway, I thought the memorial thing wasn't very well done - people focused too much ont he negatives, when it should've been used as an opportunity to provide hope, especially for the people affected the most by it.

Wow... 5 years... and I'm still trying to read the same book...
My mom had a doctors appointment that day, and the car broke down so we went to pick her up. I was finishing a math lesson down here (in the basement) and Ian came down and told me that "tourists" crashed a plane into some tower. I could have cared less, 'cause I didn't know there was a difference between "terrorists" and "tourists". Then I realized what was really happening and basically freaked out. For the first time, history became real to me. I knew I was going to see a war.
God bless America!

I was 10 years old, I think, but I remember it to this day. In fact, it plays a big part in me wanting to be involved in politics.
I was downstairs reading the Encyclopedia of Science for school when a homeschool friend of ours called and told us what was happening. For one of the first times in my life, I felt genuine fear. My stable world had been shaken, and I literallly thought the world was going to end. It's amazing, now that I look back at it, that we've been alive to witness the treacherous act in history. We'll remember what we were doing even until we're adults and we'll be telling our kids about it.

I was 10. I was doing school. when my dad called, and we were all so shocked. It was so weird because outside it was a beautiful day. Really sunny, not a cloud in the sky. It seemed so wrong for this kindof thing to be happening.

I remember that our teacher went out of the room as we were preparing to switch classes (I was in 6th grade), then came back in with the news. It was probably 10:00-11:00 AM. None of us, myself included, really grasped the magnitude of what had happened. My mom told me of the danger and seriousness of it all when she picked me up at the end of the day.
I was stunned and very scared the rest of the day. It almost felt apocalyptic. Easily one of the most harrowing days of my life, and probably everyone else's, as well.
