see, in our family, the accepted form of joking is sarcasm, satire, slight cynicism, and outright funniness! No 'real' jokes, and practical jokes are considered not funny at all. Jokes relating to any one person in the family are off color, and snideness is not appreciated.

Boring? No! WE're considered to have excellent sense of humor- just because practical jokes and 'guy walks into a bar' jokes are not used doesn't mean we don't have fun! We have what you would call 'dry wit'- a turn of phrase, an expression- almost an art form, really.
