This is a place where you talk about anything. The topic is no topic. I've had some "experience" with this sort of thing with heartofgold, in his CoL thread and (shockingly) the Christianity & Catholicism thread! But all the same, you will all like it. Perhaps GDL will like it the most, seeing as he's a little annoyed with heartofgold's and my debates ;D . So, what on earth should we talk about? Earth?

You thought this was a rather pointless topic. Well, the point of the topic is to be pointless.
So, Mr. Ghandi, how is your plan to take over the world (by "peaceful means", of course)?

This is probably the most innovative invention introduced into inter-personal, inter-denominational, international... I give up! In was trying to use the prefix "in-" as long as I could, but I have obviously failed I guess that could be classified as pointless, but it kind of does have a point, so I dunno. ;D

lol... this is more silly than some evolutionary arguements. ..... here's a brain teaser, how do u know that this conversation is really taking place? Seriously, have you ever thought about the fact that there is no "absolute" way of "proving" anything? With the exception of course that you can prove to yourself that your thoughts exist b/c your thinking.... or at least I think ur thinking..... Are you really thinking?

Do I really exist? ;D Actually, for an example of Descartes (the philosopher who came up with "I think, therefore I am") in action, here's a little (fibby) anecdote:
Descartes walks into a bar. The bartender asks, "would you like some brandy?" Descartes replies, "I think not!" and ceases to exist.
I know, it's really silly, but it made me laugh ;D

According to the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the guy who actually runs the universe thinks like that. He thinks spaceships land by his house every day to ask him questions, but he's not sure because there not there now. "Looks like the universe is in pretty safe hands" they said.

Well, thats the point of the book. The universe is totally random, nothing matters, have fun, and don't panic. Its my favorite book ever ;D.

... You know what I find totally ironic, if evolutionists are right, and the universe is totally random, then why bother having conservation laws? Or how about laws in general? If there are laws then there is order. If there is order, there's no chaos.
Or how about this, no matter how hard we try, we cannot be random. If the mind was created randomly, then there'd be randomness in the human mind. But we know this to be false. Individuals have different "trains" of thought but they still follow a certain path or direction.
About Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, never seen it or read it. Although, I did hear that supposedly there was some sort of comic (or something) that was part of the general idea. In it, there was a group of people who created a machine to figure out the answer to the universe. After about 2 thousand yrs or so, the machine had an answer, 47. So, these people then had to build another machine to figure out the significance of the number 47. This is just what I'd heard, nothing more.
