at times Life feels like it has no meaning to it so many people make there own meanings so many religions so many viewpoints who is right? Christians have there bible Islam has there Curran and so fourth all the people who follow these religions make claims of heeling's moves of there gods and yet I'm still confused my father and pastors tell me to read a book speaking of so many great things giving so much hope and yet i fear falling into a lie that maybe this is not realty maybe its that one or that one or maybe religion does not exist i ask for God to show his presence to give me a sign that i can believe for 100% i cant read papers made by human beings and fully believe it was God inspired because i fear living a Lie and yet I'm told by my father that I'm trying to make god do what i want and told by my paster that god would not show himself in the way i want I'm caught in a bind so confused this has been most likely been a reason for my suicide attempts because i felt life was a pointless affair that was painful and pointless I'm not even sure if i should be called a Christian anymore i have no idea what to do to find if this is true iv prayed so many nights begged so many nights cried so many nights even bled iv grown up in church for my hole life and yet to see anything i could firmly believe will i ever find what I'm looking for?

Well I understand what you're going through....I think everyone goes through some kind of depression etc...even if they are Christians. If you want God to show you how awesome he is, get in his word and start reading it. The one difference between Christianity and all other religions is that we have a living God. Think about it. mohammed is dead, Buddha is dead, any other leaders you can think of are dead....EXCEPT Jesus Christ. In the book of Revelations the Bible gives us our meaning for life, " Thou are wothy, O LORD, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." God made us because it pleased him to do so. When we give him honour, whether it be by reading the Bible or praying or thanking him, he is pleased with us. Then we feel good because we're doing what we're supposed to do. Well that's the best way I can put it. Hope it helps you Christian and remember we're all praying for you! God will give you and answer, sometimes we just need to wait.

yeah, God wants us to know him more. he puts us in circumstances that help us rely and depend on him. he really cares about you and he does have a purpose for your life, even though sometimes its hard to believe. start talking to God. yu don't have to have a certain time set aside, just talk to him through your day! reading your Bible will help to get to lean more about him, and enables you to help others better when your helping others, your not thinking about yourself . it help alot w/ the depression too. it makes you feel good, like your life has more meaning.

Be aware that God has a purpose for you in this life. No matter how hard it seems, God always turns the bad things for good uses, so have hope! The Bible says, "Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved." You have definitely done that, and have accepted Jesus as your saviour. He is the only way to salvation. Have joy in the fact that you are going to spend eternity with him! Here's Psalm 100:
"Shout joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; worship the LORD with cries of gladness; come before him with joyful song. Know that the LORD is God, our maker to whom we belong, whosepeople we are, God's well-tended flock. Enter the temple gates with praise, its courts with thanksgiving. Give thanks to God, bless his name; good indeed is the LORD, Whose love endures forever, whose faithfulness lasts through every age."

Just go with your heart, Christian. You evidently have believed that there is a God before; ask yourself why you believed that in the first place. God was probably working on your heart then, and he still can even today.
I personally haven't had an experience that I would call a "sign" from God. I just know in my heart that I am meant to be a Christian and follow Jesus.
That probably doesn't help, but I was trying to tell you to just do what, in your soul, you know to be right. God will show you His answer to the problems in your life if you seek that answer with all your strength.
