The Constitution of 0000000000 Christian Teens



We the Nations of 0000000000 Christian Teens in order to form a more God-honoring region, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Freedom to ourselves and all the nations who join our region in the future.




ARTICLE I

Section 1: All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in the Nations. And each Nation, save the President and the Vice President, shall have one vote. However should the vote be equally divided, the Vice President shall possess the right to cast one vote.

Section 2: All the Nations in the region as a body shall have the authority to make regional declarations of war, and to raise and support a regional army, and to make rules for the government and regulation of the regional sea, air and land forces;

To provide for calling forth the Militia to suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of 0000000000 Christian Teens, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by the President and Secretary of Defense.

Section 3: No Nation, regardless of government status, shall be above the Rules.

Section 4: The President, Delegate and Founder of 0000000000 Christian Teens shall reserve the right to eject any nation that uses profane language, and or obscene and offensive language.



ARTICLE II

Section 1: The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the 0000000000 Christian Teens Region. He shall hold his office for a term one year, together with the Vice President, chosen by the President for the same term. A President may serve for no more than two terms. The qualifications for any Nation running for president shall be as follows.

1. Any Nation running for the office of President shall have a population at or above 85 million. So as to ensure that the candidate has a certain degree of experience in Nation States.

2. The Nation shall be dedicated to governing 0000000000 Christian Teens according to the principals upon which it was founded, and shall be devoted to ensuring that 0000000000 Christian Teens is a Region that Honor and Glory to the Lord.

3. Before executing his office the President must be willing to take the following oath of affirmation- "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President 0000000000 Christian Teens, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of 0000000000 Christian Teens."

Section 2: The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Regional Army, Navy and Air Force of 0000000000 Christian Teens, when called into the actual Service of the 0000000000 Christian Teens; he or she may require the Opinion of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he or she shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against 0000000000 Christian Teens, except in cases of Impeachment.

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the other Nations in the Region, to make Treaties, nominate different Nations as Heads of Departments, and appoint Ambassadors, And to declare war.

Section 3: He shall from time to time give to the Nations Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; and he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of 0000000000 Christian Teens.

Section 4: The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of 0000000000 Christian Teens,
shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

I think it's great Nolofinwe, but I suggest that you shoetn the Presidency term to 1 month because by a year I am sure several of us will have left NS.

yea but we don't have that many nations to begin with and if we have elections once a month, it's going to take a whole lot of time going through the democratic process over and over again. what do you think about six months?.....

I've been thinking about it and I have come with a solution that you all may agree with.

What if we ran campaigns for the elections for 4 weeks and then voted on the 5^th week? After the elections the President will stay in office for a 4 month term. After that term the President can run for office for one last term.

I also think that maybe we could have a Supreme Court of 5 and those 7 will stay in office until their nation is no longer among the living. The Supreme Court should be protected with the law so that no one can come eject them from the region.

What do you guys think about that?

good idea, except i think month long campaigns are too long, considering that there's really not a lot the candidates can debate about. i say 2 1/2 weeks.....

supreme court- not a good idea, mainly because...

1.
there are really only 2 laws and if someone breaks them they are outa' there! theres just not enough laws for us to have a supreme court. and anyway i think it's good that we don't have many laws because we don't really need them and having them makes things really complicated...

2.
if people know that they are in for life and they can't be ejected, they can put on a good front and then do whatever they want when they get in because they are protected by law. and therefore we could end up with a bad case of judicial activism. were the judges of the supreme court will turn into the supreme dictators....

I understand what you are saying, so how about this.

Now that we are going into full regional government we add just a couple laws like the support of army the nations must submit when we go to war and maybe if you can't submit an army you must give a certain amount of money like 5% of trade surplus.

For these laws we have a group of 3 nations that are the law enforcers and if a nation does not comply there is some type of punishment.

Also I think we need a group of nations that vote if the President, founder, or delegate eject someone. I think we need a few nations that will vote if the ejection is worthy or not.

I know all this sounds like a lot but really it is just a couple of laws that will go into the Constitution that will make our region a better place. Also if we are going to regional government we need a full plan not a partial plan.

If a Nation does not comply to these regulations in time of need the form of punishment will be decided upon by the President, Delegate and Founder of 0000000000 Christian Teens.

I think this is a good Constitution but i believe we should have more civil rights including all people are equal, workers rights and other specific rights(if they are not already in the UN Resolutions).

well that's ok but what if someone got appointed that was biased toward the nation in question? or what if for some reason the offender convinced the counsel and got his way? then could quite possibly end up with a trouble maker getting away with stuff. i understand trying to keep the whole thing democratic but i don't think that would work....

on the opposite end of things i agree that nations should have to support a regional army financially but i don't agree that they should be forced to send troops if they won't support a war financially, that's like forcing people in the USA from different states to join the military, that's communism!!! but some people for whatever reason may not believe we should go to war, and like you can't force people to agree with the war in iraq. and if we ever got into trouble we can always initiate "calling forth the Militia to suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions." (notice "calling" and not "compelling") and really if nations see they are really in trouble because we're in trouble i seriously doubt someone is going to refuse to send at least some troops. and remember there may be nations who are already at war and have no troops to commit, we can't just force them to send men they don't have!...

I think (maybe) that the Vice President should be elected seperately and not on the same ticket as the President. I don't know though, that might be too many people running for office.

Also, is the Founder or the current Delegate eligible to run for President or Vice President? I don't think that that would be wise, considering that then the Delegate could sieze control of every office (with the help of puppet nations) and eject the Founder for some obscure reason and then take over the region.

Let me stress, though, that I would NEVER do that, but I'm saying that future delegates may have that desire.

Just a thought, but otherwise I think that it's great!

I Have a idea Why dont we elect the president and then the president will then pick a counsel(3 nations?) and then they will decide on a Vice President. The constitution also needs some tie breaker procedures for the presidental elections. Such as the founder and delegate cannot vote unless there is a tie in the presidental election.

this is just my opinion, but i don't agree with the counsel idea. in real life the president chooses his running mate. and i think that's fair, if you are going to be president it helps a lot to have someone you agree with as your second hand nation. instead of getting stuck with someone you have to work with a lot that you don't feel is the best person to work with.....

yes i agree we should be able to amend the constitution, i will add that asap.....

and yes the founder, delegate ect. should be allowed to vote, i will also be making that change....

There shall be three Nations called the Council of Law and will vote on possible ejections and for the possibility of war. These three Nations when voting must keep all discussions to the thread given just to them in the regional message board.
These Nations shall be voted upon during the election of the President.

Yep, I agree. The delegate and founder should vote, so they can have their say in it too. And also the delegate and founder shouldn't run for office, cause they already have power and that would be hogging.

Also I agree with nolofinwe about the counsel thing. he has a good point. The president should be able to pick their vice, so they will both agree on things.

I totally agree with Misty and I completely endorse the Constitutional draft set forth by Titanian and I.

I have set up a NS Christian Teens e-mail that we will be able to use during the election, but that's another story.
