one of my newest hobbies is collecting swords. now not just any swords. i mean historical and culteral swords. i don't really collect fanatsy cause of the denomic stuff that can be behind it. but i mean like claymores, samri swords, and other culteral and historical swords.

HA HA HA!!!!!!! WEAPONS WEAPONS WEAPONS!!!!!!!!!!!
Yea, seeing as I'm a guy I think its pretty cool. My problem is I've never been able to collect anything for long. It just seems kinda boring after a while. My hobby is baseball (not that I can actually play it seeing as I'm not any good). Must be an expensive hobby though, I know a guy with a sword, and it was pretty expensive.

Weapons..... mmm... I prefer my guns, though. I have a few knives, a billy club, and my darling fencing foil!
Oh, and I must NOT forget my beloved 22 or my dear 45 service issue....

I'm not. I have each weapon mentioned, and several more I don't know the names to. My father was a cop.

And by the way, I am not inclined to fibbing. It's disrespectful.

Well, there are many laws out there about weapons and ownership, but one thing which I know has come about is this: if someones going to commit a crime, do u really think he'll do it with a "legal" weapon? But still, ya, there are some pretty interesting weapons out there. Some made it, others not so An example: the two cannon chain-shot most likely to kill it's own men than the enemy. Actually, some of the history behind guns/swords/etc is really interesting. Take for instance rifled barrels and their small amounts of use till the breachloaders or lever action rifles.

I'm sure you would. My grandfather's collection was more extensive, and sooo beautiful... makes me cry just thinking about that. He had civil war weapons- musicians swords, cavalry sabres, he had flintlocks and muzzleloaders, and so many other beautiful pieces of history.

Thanks, Gynovia!
And as a side, allow me to reiterate- fibbing takes too much energy. Why bother?

...I mean, you actually have to THINK before you fib. It's not like just saying whatever comes into your head, is it? ;D

well collecting swords isnt that expensive. my most expensive sword was a ww2 japanesse military sword for 120$ most cost around 30 or 40 dollars. but they are also recurated swords. the actuall swords like the actual military sword will cost ya a bunch. or battle ready swords are alot of money

I did? Yeah- I was bigger then, wasn't I?
I dunno- that third sister can't be THAT heavy! I'm still 'as strong as a little french horse' to borrow a phrase from Mrs. Wilder.
I wonder if those dams are where we left them.... When I grow up, I want an old building to root through, don't you?
