Sid Meier's a genius. Thats why Civilization is better.
I tried AOE 3, it seemed kinda dumbed down. AOE 1 and 2 were good games (not as good as civ), but 3 just seemed kinda... yea. Although I must admit, I didn't play a very long time (there was no tutorial in the trial version).

Perhaps...I haven't played AoE 3. I don't hope to either. But doing multiplayer special scenarios on AoE 2 is the BEST game I've ever done! It's so fun.

Believe me. All you have to do is play one of the newer RTS's that are out. Like Age of Mythology and Rise of nations. The graphics are better, the game play is better, and, in essence, they've just expanded on AOE to make better games.

I still love the good 'ol Castle blood on AoE 2. It's the best ever.
(of course, I don't want to go and try out those other games partly because I can't be bothered, but also my parents wouldn't let me and it'd be a waste of money ;D)
